SIGMA

The Sigma takes on one of the most revered formats in electric guitar — semi-hollow mahogany body, centre block, set mahogany neck, built with the same attention to detail and quality that defines every guitar we make

The formula draws from the great thinline electrics of the late 1950s — bound top and neck, block inlays, and Tune-O-Matic hardware give it a classic, refined aesthetic, while the centre block keeps feedback in check and adds focus and sustain to the semi-hollow's natural warmth and resonance.

The body profile is scaled down from the classic vintage thinline dimensions — a deliberate choice that improves balance and comfort for players who find the full-size format a handful.

The neck joins the body at the 19th fret, giving full, uninhibited access across the entire fretboard, and along with the back is given a natural finish, keeping the feel of the wood direct and alive in your hands.

Available with Sunbear PAF-voiced humbuckers, P90s, or Dynasonics, and finished in solid metallics or sunburst over figured wood. Warm, open, and responsive in a way that's unique to the semi-hollow format.

FAQ's

What inspired the design of the Tonewolf Sigma?

The Sigma draws from the great thinline semi-hollow electrics of the late 1950s — a format that has remained one of the most versatile and sought-after in electric guitar. The goal was to take that proven formula and refine it, with a slightly more compact body profile that improves balance and comfort without compromising any of the tonal qualities that make the format so enduring.

What pickup options are available on the Sigma?

The Sigma can be fitted with Sunbear PAF-voiced humbuckers, P90s, or Dynasonics, giving a good range of tonal options within the semi-hollow format — from warm and full to bright and cutting.

What woods and hardware are used on the Sigma?

The Sigma is built around a mahogany body with a mahogany set neck. Tune-O-Matic hardware, bound top and neck, and block inlays come as standard. The back and neck are left in a natural finish to keep the feel of the wood direct and responsive in your hands.

Is the Sigma well suited for recording and live performance?

Yes. The centre block keeps feedback under control at stage volumes, while the semi-hollow construction adds a natural warmth and resonance that works particularly well in the studio. It's a versatile guitar that handles both environments well.

How much does a Tonewolf Sigma usually cost?

Sigma models generally start at around £3500, with the final price depending on the specifications and options chosen.
